how to make volumetric rope

I want to make volumetric rope. Does anybody have idea how to make. Please suggest me.

Maybe you could create a chain by linking several cylinders together using the btPoint2PointConstraint?

It's not volumetric so much but it may get you started.

Thanks for your previous suggestion.

Do you have idea to make volumetric rope using softbodies.
I made volumetric rope using rigidbody cylider with constraints.
But it didn't work for me.
