2.73 SP1 and split impulse

Hi,

is there an easy way of re-enabling the split impulse feature in the latest version ?

My objects bounce way too much again...

Hi,

I finally decided to downgrade to 2.72.

However, I have a question: is there any plan to re-introduce the split impulse feature in 2.74 ? I just saw there was a beta available (without this feature from what I have seen) ?

Or is there any other plan to reduce bouncing ?

This is right now our major concern. We use bullet for an airport simulator, and having aircraft crashing on ground and then bouncing 5 to 10 times looks....hmm... weird... ;)

Erwin, may I ask what are the plans concerning this issue (main issue here) ?

We are working on several constraint solver optimizations for CUDA and OpenCL, and during this work/refactoring the split impulse isn't available. We plan on adding it back in a future version, once the initial optimizations are done.

Thanks for the answer Erwin, I really appreciate. I was thinking I were alone facing my problems and thus got scared ;)

Any idea when it will be available again ? 2.74 ?
