Server side physics

Hi! I am considering to use Bullet physics engine server-side for a multiplayer shooter with collisions of bodies. Each server should handle several battles, each with a separate scene.
Is it possible and are there any drawbacks or pitfalls? Also I am considering to use an early 3.0 build for GPU acceleration.
