I just tried the bullet GPU sample on my beefy machine at work today (core i7 + NVidia GTX Titan X), and I was surprised to see rather poor results for the OpenCL rigid body example... 12 fps for 15625 stacked cubes...
In 2012 Erwin showcased a demo with +100 K bodies at 60 fps with bullet GPU, same claims here at Siggraph 2015 https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/ ... YUL3g/edit
I also tried the precompiled samples from here : https://github.com/erwincoumans/experiments/downloads
and I also got disappointing results...
Could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong ? I took the latest demo compiled in release mode.
I would be curious to know if any body ever managed to get decent results for large simulation with +100 k bodies, so please let me know.
